Petko Staynov – Sheet music and kaval, Kazanlak Museum

A display dedicated to Petko Staynov (1896–1977) — one of the greatest Bulgarian composers, born in Kazanlak. The photo shows his sheet music, books of choral songs and ballads, and a traditional kaval.

Staynov is known for works such as "Thracian Dances" and symphonic poems inspired by Thracian folklore. The kaval — a wooden, rim-blown flute — is one of the oldest Bulgarian instruments, whose sound Staynov wove into his compositions.
