Traditional Rose Oil Distiller – Rose Museum, Kazanlak

Traditional copper alembic with a wooden barrel, used for rose oil distillation, on display at the Rose Museum in Kazanlak. 80-100 kg of rose petals are needed to produce 1 kg of rose oil – this makes Bulgarian rose oil one of the most precious essential oils in the world.
